Gauntlet Birds of Prey is looking for a full-time falconer to join our team!
Do you have a passion for animals and birds of prey? Are you an enthusiastic team player ready to dive into an exciting role? We’d love to hear from you!
The successful applicants will be required to work in all manner of roles throughout the park, including:
- Animal training
- Carry out every day tasks required in a busy park
- Conduct visitor one-to-one or group experiences
- Perform presentations to visiting groups
- Animal husbandry
- Take part in our flying demonstrations
Requirements:
- Experience working in this field is preferred but not essential as training will be given
- Applicant must have animal-based qualifications
- Applicant must have a full driver’s licence
- Applicant must be 18 or over
- Applicant must be confident and hard working
- Applicant must be able to engage with visitors at the park in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Be available to work at events outwith normal working hours
- Applicant must provide a PDF of their current CV
Job Package:
- Rate of pay is based on National Living Wage (NLW) if you’re aged 23 or over / National Minimum Wage (NMW) if you’re aged under 23 or an apprentice. Rate of pay is reviewed after 3 month probationary period.
- Working on a rota basis with a minimum of 7 hours per day, 5 days a week
- Annual leave which accrues based on hours of work
- 3 month probation period
