5 Facts about vultures:
- A group of vultures can be referred to as a flock, venue, volt, or a committee.
- New World vultures don’t sing, like many other species of bird. They can only perform simple sounds, such as grunts and hisses.
- Thermals help vultures reach incredible heights, most of which would be deadly to other species of birds.
- A group of vulture feeding around a carcass are called a wake, and when the birds are in flight formation, they are known as a kettle.
