Daisy and Graham in Manchester on Tuesday 26th July, 2023 for her graduation ceremony.

As part of a family who run a busy bird of prey park in Knutsford, Daisy Bessant has worked at the park with her father Graham and brother Jake for as long as she can remember. But what a lot of you may not know is that she has been working towards a university degree too.

In June 2023 Daisy completed her 4 year Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Chartered Business Management at Manchester Metropolitan Univesity. We are all so proud of how Daisy has managed to fit in working so hard to achieve this accolade whilst taking on the joint running of the park with Graham.

Ever modest, Daisy says,

It’s a big win for the park having our first university degree and I’m so happy I’ve completed it. I will use my knowledge and skills in our family business.

Graham is overjoyed, and added,

I’m so proud of Daisy, it’s not been an easy road for her to complete her degree. She works tirelessly and with enthusiam at the park and with her learning has made such a difference to the day-to-day running of the business. Like so many young people in schools and colleges, her time at university was marred by the outbreak of COVID but she never let it get to her. Our whole family are really proud.
